This culminative assignment from my Gender and Communication class allowed me to explore themes of body liberation within the healthcare system. This project reinforced my understanding of systemic bias and deepened my appreciation for intersectionality. My commitment to dignity and liberation helps guide me on my career path to community-facing roles.

This essay for my Introduction to Rhetorical Theory class assesses the successful execution of one example of socialist rhetoric. My ethics and personal politics were strengthened though this assignment by its’ focus on the analyzation of power in language and communication. Learning how narratives shape public attitudes translates directly into building trust with the kind of diverse communities I want to work with.
